Chris Bergsten, Project Manager
Chris is the lead project manager for NFP Health. He facilitates the work required across a wide variety of departments to execute projects, manage activities and prepare effective strategies to monitor their implementation. Chris also plays a central role in managing program resources across many areas of the business. He has successfully managed project teams through all phases of the Premium Billing Solution and services for public insurance exchanges in Rhode Island and Washington, DC. Chris also works with every carrier operating on the Health Services Administrators private exchange in Massachusetts, often services as the key point of coordination between the carriers and the private exchange technology implementation team.
Chris is a PMI-certified project manager. He has managed business and IT projects in the health insurance field since 1992. Chris was employed previously with the national trade association, America’s Health Insurance Plans (AHIP) for nine years, where he managed a research team that conducted data analysis across health insurance carriers and health plans nationwide. Chris also worked as a business and IT project manager with a large health insurance carrier, UnitedHealthcare, for more than eight years.
Chris earned his Master’s degree in Healthcare Administration from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He earned his Bachelor’s degree in Health Care Studies from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst.
